Applications for travel grants from students and PhD-candidates in engineering at Danish universities.
Fondation Idella offers travel grants to students, PhD students, researchers and post-graduates in engineering from:
Fondation Idella emphasizes the qualifications of the applicants, the quality of the chosen university or research institution abroad, as well as the expected benefit of the stay, including the additional scientific and professional qualifications that can be obtained.
Fondation Idella has asked the universities to prioritize applicants who will spend one or two semesters abroad.
Travel grants should only cover the actual, additional travel costs, i.e. transport, insurance, visa, etc. as well as tuition fees and any additional living expenses at the place of study.
It is therefore expected that SU (Danish students’ Grants and Loans Scheme), wages, potential income from sub-letting, financial support to PhD projects, etc. cover part of the basic housing and living costs.
The application process is handled individually by each university who will call for applications and later put forward a list of suggestions for travel grants to Fondation Idella.
Once the grants have been awarded, it is the individual universities who are responsible for payment and settlement to the persons whom Fondation Idella has chosen to support.
Applicants are requested to contact the student centre at their respective university for information on application date, process, etc.
Fondation Idella, unfortunately, is not able to answer questions regarding the application process.
It generally takes 3-4 months for Fondation Idella to process applications, so please plan accordingly.
Each institution will notify the applicants whether or not their application has been successful.
